The best way to popularise a blog is to submit new posts to search engines. Engines like Google bot , crawls your site regularly to look for new contents. But the frequency may be low, if you don’t update your blog quite often.
In this case, if some one copies your content and publishes it in their site, it becomes hard for the search to find the genuine resource (original) and it may result in lowering of your blog ranking in Google.
You can avert this perilous effect by using the ping feature in Live writer.
Under the menu Tools –> Options , you can find a tab to add ‘ping servers’. You can add as many as you like and when you write a new blog post, the writer will automatically ‘ping’ (inform) those engine that you have updated your blog.
When Google receives such a ping at ‘blogsearch’, it immediately crawls and index the new post. I am also including a list of ping servers ,which you can add to your Live writer, in this post. You may add as much as you want, but don’t forget to include the first two ping servers (Google and Tecnorati).
