Have you ever wondered how to write documents in your own handwriting? Won’t it be impressive to write documents (soft files) in your hand writing (if it is legible, unlike mine
) ? Well, this edition of techblog speaks about that.
You can create your own fonts which displays characters that look like your hand written ones!
Welcome to fontcapture!!
All you need for this is a printer and a scanner.
I know the first question you are gonna ask – How much do I need to pay for this? Like most of the programs that I meddle-with in this space, this also is available for free.
How to create my own fonts?
1. First of all, you need to download the font template file from here.
2.Then, take the print out of the page and complete all the alphabets in your own hand writing. (you need to note that the characters should be written as per the rules of the language!)
3. Now scan the completed file (200 DPI or higher) and upload it to this page. You can specify the font name and author name for saving it as meta information.
That’s it!
You will now get a compiled font installer file which you can use for installing your font in your system (Linux users can save that in /usr/share/fonts/ folder and M$ users can install it using normal font installer in CP).
Have fun
